Vikram Gupta
Founder
Vikram is the a Director at Metro Realty Group. A boutique real estate firm that focuses on the redevelopment of landmark buildings. The group portfolios include the iconic Metro and Eros Cinema in Mumbai and Metro cinemas in Kolkata. He manages M&A, strategy, financing, legal and operational activities at the firm. He studied Business Administration at Babson College. He is a wildlife and nature enthusiast. Continuously building his on-ground knowledge of the global natural environment by traveling to free divide with orcas or volunteering with wildlife organizations in Africa.
Akshat Gupta
Founder
Akshat is a business and social entrepreneur. A director at the Metro Realty Group, that develops landmark buildings such as the Metro Cinema in Mumbai and Kolkata . Where he leads business strategy, contract negotiations, design, and business law. He graduated from Babson College. With philanthropy and social progress at his core, he is the founder of FromU2them, Gaia Conservation Foundation, and Samatech non-profit organisations impacting sectors ranging from humanitarian relief, climate change, sanitation and clean tech. Many of their projects having received both national and international accolades such as Mumbai’s ‘Most innovative and sustainable toilet in India’ from the Government of India in 2019.
Supreeta Karkera
Partnership & Projects Head
With a Bachelor’s degree in social science, Supreeta is a confident professional with vast experience of 25 years in multiple sectors like NGO, Event Management, Information Technology, Software, Engineering, Retail and Consulting sectors. She has great business acumen and has an excellent track record of implementing and executing successful business strategies.She specializes in new business acquisition, marketing, service management, sales event, operations management and is a strong believer in inspiring people around her. Currently she is heading Partnership & Projects at Gaia.
Swapnil Sonwane
Project Head
Swapnil, an ecologist, holds a Master’s degree in Zoology and an interest in wildlife conservation. He has been working with Gaia for FIVE years, designated as Project Head. He is compassionate about nature and has a deep knowledge of biodiversity. He has been constantly working and organizing numerous plantation events in and around Mumbai serving our goal of afforestation.
Kavita Patel
Head Accounts and Finance
Kavita has done her Masters in Finance Management from Welingkar Institute of Management and working in the field of Finance & Accounts for more than 20 years. Currently, she is looking after the Finance and administration.
Kalpana Velari
Administration
Kalpana has done her Graduation from Mumbai University in Commerce field, having experience in administration for more that 12 years. Currently she is working with GCF as an administrator.
Jayendra Dumada
Project Assistant
Jayendra was born and brought up in the heart of Sanjay Gandhi National Park – Mumbai. He belongs to the Tribal community and possesses traditional knowledge about plants and their conservation. He has completed his graduation in Arts from Mumbai university. Currently he is working with GCF as a Project assistant.
Ajay Gotarane
Field Assistant
Ajay is born and brought up in the heart of Sanjay Gandhi National Park – Mumbai. He belongs to Tribal community and posses traditional knowledge about plants and theirs conservation. He has completed his graduation in Arts from Mumbai university. Currently he is working with GCF as a field assistant.
